A Downtown Los Angeles Morning

This morning Jeff and I decided to go into Downtown L.A. to check out a book shop that I heard about. It was fabulous! It is in a beautiful old building that was once a bank.

I saw this skeleton in the window on the way in and I was excited!

Upstairs there were Artists lofts/shops. Awesome works there.




Some old doors that were hanging around in a back hall. Love.





Since we were already downtown, we went to Olvera street. First though, we crossed the street and walked around Chinatown for a bit.


I found this MUST HAVE Frida heart


And we bought this large Muerta to bring Fortune and Love to our home always.

I processed the photos for the next 2 posts on my photography/road trip blog November Obscura  so be sure to check it out. I will likely be posting there again by Saturday afternoon. The photos of Concordia Cemetery turned out nice! Who knew that such a barren, albeit famous cemetery would be so photogenic! Thats the great thing about photographing cemeteries, they are all so different! Like people I suppose, but I don't like photographing people. Cemeteries are my favorite subjects, followed by things. .  like buildings, machines, old stuff.  I think the November Obscura blog explains it all.
