2010-I am telling you now- you BETTER be a good year!

Tonight is New Year's Eve and a Blue Moon. 2009 was a strange year. It started out really very good for me, until about September when chaos ensued.  Today, the last day of 2009 things in my own life anyway, appear to be stabilizing. As for the state and nation. . .  well that is a different story altogether.  Here's to 2010 and hopes that we will all recover our sense of balance and grace.

Average daily temp in the Winter  65-70, Average night time temp 40-55. Cold to us native Californians yes, but some of the best weather in the world! I LOVE California!

Did you know that there is a National Carousel Association? I didn't either. Until I was doing a little research for my photos of the Carousel at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco and The Carousel at the Santa Cruz boardwalk. Happy Christmas Eve. I have the greatest memories of childhood christmases. I hope you do to!

I consider myself a pretty strong person, but sometimes, with certain people and situations I just do not know what to do, or say or suggest anymore. This situation lays heavy on my heart and mind.  I can not keep doing this for you, it is taking a big toll on me.  You are going to have to step up and take charge of your own circumstances. It has been going on for far too long and I just don't think that you are quite the victim of circumstance that you portray yourself to be. You are very intelligent and very capable and I think that you need to put every bit of effort that you can muster into improving the situation. You are so much more than this and there IS a solution and you CAN succeed! I don't think you have really pushed for a resolution, because it has been too easy for you not to. My resources have limits and I am going to have to make some changes. I hope I  have not been taken advantage of, because I have acted out of love and kindness.

Guess what? and her name is Morticia. We picked her up today! She gets her spoiler on next week. Vrrummm!

This is my newest doll. Her name is Alice- as in the Alice of Wonderland fame.

Yesterday, Jeff tore out the old sink and cabinet in our tiny under the stairs bathroom. Discussing paint we decided to go with 2 red walls, leaving the ceiling, mirror wall and back wall white.  I love the results of a freshly painted room but don't like to do house painting really.  Each time I do it I say to myself- ugh how did you talk yourself into this? Well anyway, I have 2 coats on already- as it is a very small bathroom. We should have the whole thing in and done by the end of the week ( knock on wood)
