This is how I spent many long summer afternoons in the 1960's and early 70's. Part of the fun was using colorful sidewalk chalk to draw a super good hopscotch area.
 Great memories!


 

Jacks. You could always pick up a new set for under a dollar at the local TG&Y or Thrifty.
Hours and hours of play made me quite the Jacks queen in my neighborhood. Onesies, Twosies- all the way up to Fifteensies!

I processed the photos for the next 2 posts on my photography/road trip blog November Obscura  so be sure to check it out. I will likely be posting there again by Saturday afternoon. The photos of Concordia Cemetery turned out nice! Who knew that such a barren, albeit famous cemetery would be so photogenic! Thats the great thing about photographing cemeteries, they are all so different! Like people I suppose, but I don't like photographing people. Cemeteries are my favorite subjects, followed by things. .  like buildings, machines, old stuff.  I think the November Obscura blog explains it all. They look like Santa's Hooligans!   Eeek!   Mommy needs a new head for Christmas   In the off season Santa and Comet travel with Cirque du Soliel   Dear Krumpas- I will have my sister in the mopping bucket, please take her away   NO!    Mom! I think Santa died Everyone knows Santa is a pipe man.
