Look the other way and there are the Channel Islands
If you ever read the book Island of the Blue Dolphins as a child, the Island in question is one of the channel Islands. San Nicholas Island.

I processed the photos for the next 2 posts on my photography/road trip blog November Obscura  so be sure to check it out. I will likely be posting there again by Saturday afternoon. The photos of Concordia Cemetery turned out nice! Who knew that such a barren, albeit famous cemetery would be so photogenic! Thats the great thing about photographing cemeteries, they are all so different! Like people I suppose, but I don't like photographing people. Cemeteries are my favorite subjects, followed by things. .  like buildings, machines, old stuff.  I think the November Obscura blog explains it all.
